About the Focus Test
Focus is selective attention: the spotlight that picks one target and suppresses the rest. It determines how much of a lecture, book or meeting actually reaches your memory. Filtering tasks like difference detection reveal how sharply that spotlight is tuned today.
How the Focus Test Works
- Read the question. Some memory quizzes first flash a sequence for a few seconds: memorize it before it hides.
- Pick one of the four answers by tapping it, or press keys 1 to 4 on a keyboard.
- Scored quizzes lock your answer, mark it green or red and explain the correct choice right away.
- A countdown timer keeps every question fair. Style quizzes run in relaxed mode with no timer at all.
- Chain correct answers for combo bonuses, finish all 15 and your full report appears with bars, percentile and advice.
Tips for Your Best Result
- Slow down one notch; accuracy beats speed in almost every attention task.
- Reduce interruptions; each ping resets your focus clock.
- Scan grids in a fixed order so nothing gets skipped.
- Retake after a few days of practice: measurable progress is the best motivation.
